What is Android ?

The first truly open and comprehensive platform formobile devices.It includes an operating system,user-inerface and applications-all of the software to run a mobile phone but without the proprietary obstacles that have bindered mobile innovation.


Android is an ecosystem madeup of three components:


1) A free,open source operating system for embedded devices.
2) An open-source development platform for creating applications.
3) Devices ,Particularly mobile phones,that run the android operating system and the appplications created for it.

3) Simply an application layer
4) A mobile phone handset
